LGBTQIA+ people should live and thrive without fear of discrimination in healthcare, housing, employment, education, and public spaces. That also means expanding access to comprehensive, nondiscriminatory health care - including gender-affirming care.  We need to unequivocally stand with LGBTQIA+ communities - especially trans people - against political scapegoating and state violence.

Transitioning from a world that devalues queer and trans people to one that supports queer and trans people to thrive will require affirmative investments. Queer and trans people - especially youth - are disproportionately likely to be unemployed and unhoused. We will immediately need inclusive supportive housing and income support programs to make sure people will make it to the new America we are building.
